De halve dag zijn we zeker kwijt aan de terugreis naar Havana. Hierna moest de auto onderzocht worden op sporen van braak. Vele foto’s werden gemaakt. Daarna werd elke deurhendel met een laagje koolstof bedekt om vingerafdrukken te kunnen afnemen. De deurvergrendeling werd op verschillende manieren getest. We moesten terug naar de plek waar het gebeurd was. Daar moesten ook foto’s van genomen worden. En onze vingerafdrukken moesten ook worden genomen. Als we de volgende dag zouden terugkomen dan kon het rapport getekend worden door de officier van justitie en dan was het rond. Hierna konden we nog net de huurauto terugbrengen. Niemand zei wat van de koolstof op de hendels…het was al donker gelukkig!
